December 2006: Taleo Business Edition 7.5

NEW FEATURES

RSS Enabled Job Agents
RSS (Real Simple Syndication) is rapidly becoming the standard by which information is subscribed to and syndicated online. Today’s latest browsers such as Internet Explorer 7 and Mozilla Firefox include support for RSS by default. RSS reader software is available to view information syndicated in this form, including readers built into Yahoo, Google, and Microsoft Office Live.

Now in Taleo Business Edition 7.5, RSS has been enabled on all careers site job search results pages. Now your candidates can subscribe to specific job search criteria and always be kept up to date on openings of interest at your organization. For example, a search for Sales positions in Santa Clara, CA may return two results today. A candidate can click on the new RSS link to subscribe to this job search and see any new openings in their RSS reader as they appear in the future.

Rich Text Editor for Requisition Descriptions
Taleo Business Edition 7.5 includes a new rich text editor which enables you to create job descriptions using the powerful WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) formatting capabilities of word processing software without the need to resort to HTML coding.

Self-Service Integration Tools
In Taleo Business Edition 7.5, Premium subscribers looking for the convenience and lower total cost of ownership of self-service integration can take advantage of some of the most advanced tools in the industry.

Taleo Connect Client gives you the power of object-based integration delivered by self-service tools with services and support to match. Use Taleo Connect Client to configure your integration processes, build your own data extracts, and monitor all of your Taleo integration processes – all without needing an army of consultants.

ENHANCEMENTS AND MODIFICATIONS

Requisition-Specific Candidate Workflow
Taleo Business Edition 7.5 now allows clients to create separate candidate and requisition workflows, each with their own unique configurations. The candidate’s Main and Requisition-Specific statuses will now be updated independently of each other based on upon changes to their respective workflows. For existing customers upgrading to 7.5, the new Requisition-Specific Candidate Workflow will match the original Candidate Workflow by default, but then can be modified as desired.

Requisition-Specific Candidate Ranking
In Taleo Business Edition 7.5, when a candidate applies to more than one position, they will be assigned a separate rank value for each requisition they apply to. In addition, the new requisition-specific Candidate Rank field is now available in custom candidate reports and is automatically shown in the Requisitions list on the Candidate View page.

Requisition Merge Fields for Contacts
Now when creating email templates for Contacts, requisition merge fields can be used and a requisition can be selected in the Send An Email screen. In this way, relevant requisition information can be included when communicating with specific contacts from within Taleo Business Edition.

Location-Specific Career Sites
To better support global recruitment, Taleo Business Edition 7.5 will enable administrators to explicitly specify locations for a careers site. Only requisitions assigned to one of those locations can be posted on that careers site. Candidates will only see requisitions associated with those locations.

Configurable Returning Applicant Status Table
Returning candidates to the careers site can view all of the requisitions for which they have applied, their candidate-facing status for each requisition, and a set of actions enabling the candidate to send the requisition to a friend or remove themselves from consideration. Now administrators can hide the candidate-facing status or actions information by editing this placeholder in the Returning Applicant page layout.

Candidate Auto-Reply Email Enhancements
Candidates will now receive auto-reply confirmation emails for subsequent applications in addition to the initial position for which they applied.

Referral Notification and Multilingual Referral Forms
Administrators can now specify one or more email addresses to receive notification when a candidate referral is submitted. In addition, by specifying a language parameter in the referral form URL, the candidate referral form can be displayed in any supported language (currently English, Canadian French, Spanish, and German).

Improved Resume Parsing
The custom parsing engine used to extract data from Microsoft Word, RTF, Adobe PDF, and HTML resumes imported via the Import Wizard has been replaced with the industry-leading Resume Mirror engine -- the same high performance, high intelligence resume extraction tool used today by Taleo Enterprise Edition.

Now candidate records created from imported resumes will have much greater accuracy in terms of automated field recognition and population. In addition, the new Resume Mirror technology eliminates potential problems with automatic conversion of international phone numbers to a North American format.

Partial Zip Code Search
Now users can search the candidate database for partial zip codes to find candidates in similar zip codes. In this way, an ad-hoc proximity search can be performed. For example, searching the candidate database using “95” in the ZIP code field will return all candidates with zip code that starts with 95, thus limiting your search to candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Attachments in Email Templates
Any number of attachments can now be added to Email Template definitions. When an email template is used to send an email to one or more recipients, all attached documents associated with that template will be included in the email.

Mass Email Limit Increased and Attachments Enabled
Up from the previous limit of 100, users can now send emails to up to 500 candidates from an internal candidate search results list. In addition, now up to three attachments can be added to an outgoing email, not including any attachments associated with an email template if one is used.

Group Interview Support
Many organizations schedule interviews involving multiple simultaneous interviewers. To handle this scenario, Taleo Business Edition 7.5 includes a new 0-minute value for the interviewer’s time slot when creating an interview. This way, when an Outlook Calendar file is sent to the interviewers, they will each be booked for the same time slot.

Improved OFCCP Report Filtering
The US Department of Labor's Employment Standards Administration's Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) report can now be filtered by the requisition Location field for more fine-grained views into OFCCP tracking data.

New Custom Report Types
Taleo Business Edition 7.5 includes the new custom report types of Expenses by Candidate and Expenses by Requisition. You get more detailed access to candidate and requisition expense information.

Improved List Navigation
Now the candidate view screen includes new links called Previous and Next which enable users to move backwards and forwards respectively through a list of candidate records without having to return to the list itself. In addition, when users delete any object from a list of objects, they will be taken back to the page in the list they came from rather than the beginning of the list.

General Usability Enhancements
Sorting has been enabled for the requisition-specific candidate status field in the Candidates by Requisition list view. Also, administrators can specify which column of the Careers Site job search results table jobs are sorted on by default, and whether this sort is ascending or descending.

March 2006: Taleo Business Edition 7.0

NEW FEATURES

New Languages Available
German and Spanish have been added to the list of supported languages in Taleo Business Edition. These are new Locales which can be selected from each user's "My Settings" page. They can also be assigned as the default Locale for a company by going to Administration > Organization Setup > Company Profile.

Custom Tabs & Objects
Taleo Business Edition 7.0 allows you to extend your recruiting system to manage data and processes beyond hiring to other areas of HR and talent management. Now you can create your own tabs and define new applications within your Taleo Business Edition system.

When creating a new custom tab, you define a tab name, description and icon to represent this new object type. Once the tab and object criteria are selected, you can then define which "Application Views" (see below) this tab should appear in.

Once the tab and object criteria are selected, you can then define which “Application Views” (see below) this tab should appear in.

Once a custom tab has been created, all of the customization features you are already familiar with for standard objects are also available for custom objects. You can create custom fields, custom page layouts & list views, customized selectors (new in 7.0), customizable workflow, and custom reports. In addition you can create relationships between custom objects and standard objects (see “Custom Relationships” below).

By default each custom tab comes with:

  • Page Layouts: View, Add/Edit, and Search
  • List Views: Main, Search Results, and Selector
  • CSV import wizard allowing you to easily import custom object data
  • Quick Search functionality in Main and Search Results List Views
  • Workflow (Statuses and Next Step Actions)
  • Related Lists: Tasks, Events, Comments, Attachments, and History Log

We encourage you to experiment with custom tabs to extend your Taleo Business Edition implementation to new areas of talent management within your organization. Examples of new tabs you may want to create to track and manage other data in Taleo Business Edition include:

  • Employee Data
  • Benefits Information
  • Performance Reviews
  • Time Off & Vacation
  • Skills Library
  • Training Classes
  • Tests & Results
  • Special Projects
  • etc…

Application Views
In Taleo Business Edition 7.0 you can now redefine the order in which tabs appear, and you can hide or expose different tabs. Similar to page layouts and list views, multiple tab layouts can be created and assigned by role and by user. These tab layouts are called “Application Views”.

By default your Taleo Business Edition system has different Application Views defined for each role: Administrator, Hiring Manager, Recruiter, Employee and Agency. You can customize these default Application Views and create new views to change tab order, hide existing tabs, and add newly created custom tabs based on what you want your users to have access to. Just like page layouts and list views, you can assign Application Views by user and/or role.

A new drop-down menu called “Application View” in the upper right hand corner of the screen allows each user to select which Application View to use at any given time. By creating different Application Views for different groups of tabs based on functionality, you can organize your company’s Taleo Business Edition system into discrete on-demand applications for Recruiting, Employee Management, Time & Attendance, Performance Reviews, Special Projects, etc.

New Page Layouts
Additional page layouts have been added allowing you to customize the following pages based on user and/or role:

  • My View
  • Pipeline
  • Reports

IE Sourcebar
In the My View and Pipeline page layouts, lists can be moved up or down to alter the display order, and any HTML content can be inserted as needed. In addition, each list can optionally be hidden if you would like to remove it from any role or user’s view.

The Reports page layout allows you to reorder reports, create new report groupings, insert HTML content and optionally hide specific reports from certain roles or users.

The IE Sourcebar page layout provides control over the new candidate form shown in the IE Sourcebar plugin once a user is logged in. This form was previously not customizable, now you can add any candidate fields necessary for data capture during your user’s sourcing activities.

Customizable Selectors
Popup windows used to select an item or group of items (such as selecting an Account to associate a new Contact with, or selecting a Requisition to submit a candidate to) can now be customized. The following new List Views have been added allowing you to change which columns are displayed on the selectors, and optionally how the selector data is filtered:

  • Requisition Selector
  • Candidate Selector
  • Account Selector
  • Contact Selector
  • User Selector

In addition, a selector list view is also created for each custom object, allowing you to customize the selection popup window for any new data types you create.

Merging Duplicate Candidate Records
Managing duplicate candidate records has now become much easier with the ability to merge 2 or more candidate records into one. A new candidate Merge feature allows you to select which fields in each record should be maintained in the resulting merged candidate record. All related list data such as comments, interviews, feedback, attachments, history, etc, from all merged records will be combined into the single resulting candidate record to avoid data loss. Merge can be performed from any candidate list view or from an individual candidate’s view page.

OFCCP Compliance Report
If your business is required to follow OFCCP procedures you may want to enable the new Taleo Business Edition OFCCP report capability (this requires activation by your sales representative). Once activated, Taleo Business Edition will keep a record of each search ever made throughout your candidate database, along with who performed that’s search, date and time, search criteria, and a list of candidates that came up as matches in the search results. As with all other reports the OFCCP report can be filtered by user, date range, etc, and exported to Excel or CSV formats.

ENHANCEMENTS & MODIFICATIONS

Multiple Attachments in online Application Forms
Candidates can now submit up to 3 attachment files in addition to a single resume attachment during their application process or when updating their application from any Taleo Business Edition careers site. The first file attachment will constitute the resume and will be indexed, while all subsequent attachments will be added to the candidate’s “Attachments” section in the candidate view page.

Attachments in Interview emails
Now when scheduling an interview you can include attachments to the “Interview Scheduled” email from that candidate’s Attachments section.

Attachments in “Send An Email” and “Sent To” features
When sending an email to candidates or sending candidate information to another person, you can now include attachments from that candidate’s Attachments section.

“From” address option when emailing candidates:
When sending an individual or mass candidate email, you can now select whether the “from” address should be your email or the general system email defined by your Taleo Business Edition administrator.

BCC in “Send An Email” Feature:
Now you can blind copy recipients when sending an email to a candidate from within Taleo Business Edition.

Ability to select Requisition when sending a Mass Email
Now you can select a Requisition when sending a mass email to candidates. This is useful in cases were you are using a template with requisition merge fields, and emailing candidates who may be associated with more than one requisition. By selecting a requisition the system will know which requisition to pull merge field data from when sending the email to the selected candidates.

Support for Unicode character encoding
The entire Taleo Business Edition database layer has been enhanced to enable full support for the entire Unicode character set, allowing you to input data in any Unicode-supported language. This enhancement has the added benefit of fixing a common problem whereby bullets, hyphens, quotations, and other characters pasted from MS Word were converted to “?” symbols.

Ability to mark Sources as “Hidden” on careers site
Now you can mark any of your candidate Sources as “Hidden”, meaning they will not be shown in the Source picklist on your careers site for candidates to select from.

Candidate import results now include filenames
In previous releases the candidate import tool for ZIP files containing multiple resumes emailed a list of imported candidates back to the user to show which resumes were successfully, or unsuccessfully, parsed and imported. This list now includes filenames corresponding to each resume allowing the user to more easily identify any unsuccessful imports.

“Related To” column added to My Tasks list
Now you can easily see which object each task is related to in the My Tasks section of the My View page.

Multiple Feedback Templates and Interview Association
Administrators can now create multiple different versions of the Interview Feedback template. When users create or edit an Interview they can select which Feedback Template will be used by users submitting feedback on that interview.

Previous comments shown in Approval screens
When approving a requisition or offer letter, users will now see previous feedbacks and comments on that item at the bottom of the approval screen.

Ability to disable “Send to a Friend” feature on careers site
If desired you can now hide the “Send to a Friend” button on each of your requisition view pages on your careers sites.

For the complete list of features and enhancements please refer to the Taleo Business Edition 7.0 Release Notes.

August 2005: Taleo Business Edition 6.1

MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENTS

NEW FEATURES

Task Management

Taleo Business Edition 6.1 includes a new object type called Task which allows users to schedule follow up items and maintain a virtual To Do list in the system. Each task can be assigned to one or more users and can be affiliated with any Candidate, Requisition, Account, Contact or User object in the system. Each task also has an assigned due date, and each user will be presented with upcoming tasks upon login in the new "My Tasks" section of the My View page. Users can also view an overall Tasks list to navigate through all tasks that have been assigned to them throughout the system.

The view page for Candidates, Requisitions, Accounts, Contacts and Users now includes a new related list called "Tasks" which shows all tasks that have been created in relation to that object. Tasks have been added to the customization framework allowing users to customize a task by adding custom fields and changing page layouts for the object on a role or user basis. Tasks are also available in version 3.0 of the Taleo Business Edition Web Services API as well as the custom "ad-hoc" reporting tool.

Event Management

Another new object type called Event has been added. Events can be scheduled and assigned to one or more users and contacts, and can be affiliated with any Candidate, Requisition, Account, Contact or User object in the system. Each event has an assigned date, time, duration and location, and can easily be added to any participant's Outlook calendar. Each user is presented with upcoming events over the next seven days upon login in the new "My Calendar" section of the My View page. Interviews are now considered to be a type of event and are also shown in this new section.

The view page for Candidates, Requisitions, Accounts, Contacts and Users now includes a new related list called "Events". The Events list shows all events that have been created in relation to that object. Events have been added to the customization framework allowing users to customize an event by adding custom fields and changing page layouts for the object on a role or user basis. Events are also available in version 3.0 of the Taleo Business Edition Web Services API as well as the custom "ad-hoc" reporting tool.

Calendar Management

Each user can view their upcoming events within several new calendar views accessible from the My View tab; including Day, Week, and Month. The new views will allow users to easily scroll to a desired day, week or month in addition to the ability to review existing events and add new events. Each calendar view page also allows the user to switch to another user's calendar to check availability.

Group Calendaring

In any of the Day, Week or Month calendar views, users can switching to group mode. Group mode displays all events assigned to all users and contacts throughout the system. Events that have been marked as private are not shown to other users in group calendar mode.

Candidate Passwords

A new standard candidate field called "Password" is now available. The Password field has been added to all careers website Application Forms by default. The Password field is available directly below the Email field, allowing new applicants to specify a password to use when returning to the careers sites. This field cannot be exposed to users in page layouts and is only accessible to candidates.

In prior versions of Taleo Business Edition, each candidate was automatically assigned a unique ID# which they can use in combination with their email address to log back into the careers site and update their information. In Taleo Business Edition 6.1 a unique ID# is still assigned automatically for internal use, but it is not automatically provided to candidates for use as a password. Instead candidates can choose to create their own password during the application process. In the event that a candidate chooses not to enter a password, the ID# assigned will be used as that candidate's password.

In order to maintain backward compatibility, all existing candidates have been assigned a Password value equal to their ID#.

Customizable Interview Schedules

Interview schedules have been added to the customization framework. Now users can completely customize an interview schedule by adding custom fields and changing page layouts for this object on a role or user basis. These capabilities are available in the Customize Taleo Business Edition section of the Administration tab. Interviews are also available in version 3.0 of the Taleo Business Edition Web Services API as well as the custom "ad-hoc" reporting tool.

Customizable Interview Feedback

The interview feedback object has been added to the customization framework allowing users to customize how feedback is captured from each interviewer and displayed. Custom fields can be added for this object type and page layouts can be created and assigned on a role or user basis. This capability is available in the Customize Taleo Business Edition section of the Administration tab. Feedbacks are also available in version 3.0 of the Taleo Business Edition Web Services API as well as the custom "ad-hoc" reporting tool.

Customizable Reference Checks

The reference check object has been added to the customization framework allowing users to customize what information is captured and managed for reference checks. Custom fields can be added for this object type and page layouts can be created and assigned on a role or user basis. This capability is available in the Customize Taleo Business Edition section of the Administration tab. References have also been introduced in version 3.0 of the Taleo Business Edition Web Services API as well as the custom "ad-hoc" reporting tool.

The first production ready version of the multilingual framework has been included in Taleo Business Edition 6.1. Administrators can customize text throughout the system on a per-language basis for each object, field value, field label, html content, etc. Support for new languages will gradually be added to the system. April 2005: Taleo Business Edition 6.0

MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENTS

NEW FEATURES

Rename Tabs, Menus & Standard Fields

Want to change "Requisitions" to "Jobs", or "Candidates" to "Applicants"? No problem. Taleo Business Edition now allows you to rename application tabs, menus and even standard field labels to match your business needs.

New Tab: Accounts

Now you can manage all of your clients, vendors, agencies, partners, customers and other entities using Taleo Business Edition with the new Accounts tab. Accounts fit into the entire Taleo Business Edition platform as a new object type with custom fields, page layouts, list views and reports. You can easily import your accounts from any other contact management or CRM system by using the new Account Import tool. Each Account may have a number of Contact and Requisition objects related to it. Similarly each Requisition may now have any number of related Account objects allowing you to track and manage Requisitions by Account.

To activate the Accounts tab, ask your Taleo representative to enable the "Staffing Service" option in your account.

New Tab: Contacts

The new Contacts tab allows you to track, manage and communicate with all of your contacts, whether they are colleagues, clients, vendors, agencies, partners, customers or other people in your network. Contacts fit into the entire Taleo Business Edition platform as a new object type with custom fields, page layouts, list views and reports. You can easily import your contacts from Microsoft Outlook or any other contact management or CRM system by using the new Contact Import tool. Each Contact can be associated with one Account. Requisitions may now have any number of related Contact objects allowing you to track and manage Requisitions by Contact.

To activate the Contacts tab, ask your Taleo representative to enable the "Staffing Service" option in your account.

Custom List Views

With Custom List Views we have greatly enhanced your ability to customize and configure Taleo Business Edition for your specific business needs. Custom List Views allow you to completely customize all Candidate, Requisition, Offer, Account, Contact and User lists throughout your Taleo Business Edition system. Now you can add, remove, and reorder the columns in any of your tabs, search results pages, My View and Pipeline pages. The bottom line is that you can now use any standard and custom fields as columns in any of your lists.

List View customization can be accomplished in seconds using an easy 2-step wizard. Each column is sortable, and you can specify default sorting behavior. In addition you can also specify up to two filters for each view, allowing you to limit list data to certain items. For example you may want to limit the Requisitions tab so show only requisitions in the Open status, or only Requisitions in a specific location.

Role and User-based Page Layout & List View Assignment

In order to take full advantage of the flexibility provided by custom page layouts and custom list views, as of Taleo Business Edition 6.0 your Administrator can now assign unique page layouts and list views for each different role. For example, you may want users with the Hiring Manager role to only see a subset of all the data collected internally about each candidate, so your Administrator can create a new Candidate View page layout and assign it as the default page layout for the Hiring Manager role. Similarly you may want Hiring Managers to only see Open requisitions, so you can create a new Requisitions list view and assigned it as the default list view for the Hiring Manager role.

If role-based assignment is not granular enough, you can also assign page layouts and list views on a user by user basis. For example, you may want a particular hiring manager or recruiter user to only see candidates in a particular location, so your Administrator can create a new Candidates list view and assign it as the default list view for that particular user.

New Custom Report Types

Taleo Business Edition 6.0 includes several new custom report types to allow more detailed reporting on new object types as well as relationships, e.g. Accounts, Contacts, Requisitions by Owner, Requisitions by Account, Accounts by Owner, etc.

Web Integration Links

Now you can use standard and custom field data to create Web Integration Links on the fly, using data from any Candidate, Requisition, Offer, Account, Contact, or User object. Web integration links allow you to construct URLs using object data as parameters, enabling you to build simple on-the-fly integration to other websites and web-based applications.

When building a web integration link you can use merge fields as parameters in the link. When the link is rendered in the page layout the merge fields are replaced with actual data. For example, we can build a simple web integration link to search Google for a candidate's name as follows:

http://www.google.com/search?q=<<CANDIDATE_NAME>>

Web integration links can be used in any page layouts, list views and custom reports.

Web Integration HTML

Similar to Web Integration Links, you can now create arbitrary HTML using any Candidate, Requisition, Offer, Account, Contact, or User object's standard and custom field data. Web Integration HTML allows you to construct completely customized, graphical display structures for any of your Taleo Business Edition view, edit, add, and search pages. You can also use web integration html to build new forms embedded within page layouts. For example, you can build an embedded form in your requisition view page to submit that requisition's data to a job board via an HTTP post request. Web Integration HTML provides you with the unprecedented ability to develop integration to other web-based applications literally on-the-fly.

Custom User Fields & Page Layouts

In Taleo Business Edition 6.0 the User object has been added to the overall configuration framework of the Taleo Business Edition platform. You can now create custom User fields, add and edit User Page Layouts and List Views, and use standard and custom User field data in merge fields embedded within email templates and Web Integration elements.

Visual Workflow Editor

The Candidate and Requisition Workflow Process screens now include a new option to switch to a visual design mode. In this mode your workflow will be presented as a flow-chart diagram in which Statuses and Actions can be edited.

New Careers Website Page: Add To My Jobs

In previous versions of Taleo Business Edition new applicants only answered online questions attached to the first requisition they apply to. Now in Taleo Business Edition 6.0 whenever a candidate adds themself to another requisition, they will be presented with any questions attached to that requisition as well.

New Object Selectors

In Taleo Business Edition 6.0 you will notice new dialogs to select single or multiple objects when choosing one or more Requisitions, Accounts, Contacts and Users. These new selection dialogs allow you to perform a search during your selection process, providing the ability to more easily work with large numbers of objects.

NEW LANGUAGES

Multilingual Support (beta): French (Canadian)

In Taleo Business Edition 6.0 we have completely rearchitected the use of text throughout the Taleo Business Edition platform allowing us to virtually 'plug-and-play' new languages. In this initial beta release of our multilingual capabilities, we have included full support for Canadian French within the Taleo Business Edition application and on the external-facing careers sites. Expect many more languages to follow soon!

ENHANCEMENTS & MODIFICATIONS

Enhanced Report Filtering

All custom reports can now be filtered by any criteria, not just fields selected for inclusion in the report.

Requisition-Specific Candidate Management

In previous versions of Recruitforce a candidate only had one status, regardless of how many requisitions that candidate was attached to. In 6.0 we have extended the candidate Status, Next Steps (workflow), and Reason for rejection information to be managed on a requisition-specific basis. For example, now a candidate may be rejected for 3 requisitions and still be active in the hiring process for a fourth. In addition, this requisition-specific candidate data is also available in advanced candidate search and as part of the candidate custom reporting infrastructure.

Time to Hire Report Improvements

The Time to Hire report has been updated to allow filtering specifically on ranges for Opened Date and Hired Date values rather than on generic Last Updated values.

Candidate and Requisition Workflow Status Order

The Candidate and Requisition Workflow Process screens now provide an additional option allowing you to modify the order Statuses appear in the Candidate Status and Requisition Status picklists.

Offer Letter "Send To"

Offer Letters can now be easily emailed directly to candidates or other recipients from within Taleo Business Edition via a Send To action from the Offer view screen.

Enhanced Support for Email Templates

In previous versions of Taleo Business Edition emails with non-standard characters in the subject or body may have prevented an entire email from being sent. In Taleo Business Edition 6.0 we have revised this mechanism to ensure that any email composed within Taleo Business Edition can be sent regardless of formatting and character content.

Add/Remove Email Attachments

Attachments in emails are now managed in a separate screen allowing you to better manage email attachments before the email is sent.

BUSINESS EDITION WEB API VERSION 2.0

SOAP-based Web Services API version 2.0

The Taleo Business Edition Web Services API allows customers, partners and developers to extend and integrate Taleo Business Edition with any other backoffice application, or build entirely new applications based on the Taleo Business Edition platform.

Version 2.0 includes new methods for accessing Account and Contact data, and new signatures for all methods allowing explicit usage of session ID. For more information on the Web API, see http://www.taleo.com/solutions/business-edition-integration-web-api.php
