While it may seem counterintuitive for the war for talent to persist during an economic downturn, data suggest otherwise. This adds pressure for businesses to improve talent management strategies, processes and practices since certain aspects--internal mobility, performance management, and quality of hire--can be of great value to businesses in a low-growth economy.
