Taleo 7 Hits The Market; Extends Talent Management Lifecycle and Drives Superior Business Performance

Taleo 7 introduces new Onboarding and Analytics solutions; major on demand software release also includes expanded usability, global support, integration and compliance capabilities

SAN FRANCISCO – April 10, 2006 — Taleo Corporation (Nasdaq: TLEO), the leading provider of talent management solutions, today announced the release of Taleo Enterprise Edition 7.  Taleo 7 includes two entirely new applications – Taleo Reporting and Analytics and Taleo Onboarding - and over 100 new enhancements to meet ongoing and evolving customer talent management requirements.

Taleo 7 further extends the talent management lifecycle and helps organizations better measure, analyze and align their workforce for improved business performance.  Taleo delivers its solutions on demand, so there is no hardware or software for customers to install or maintain.  Through its on demand model, Taleo delivers quick, easy software upgrades to all of its customers upon the release of a new version.   Since 100% of Taleo customers are using the same version of its talent management solutions, organizations can easily take advantage of new product innovations and realize immediate benefits, without undergoing long and costly upgrades with a team of consultants.

Taleo Reporting and Analytics™
Taleo Reporting and Analytics is a powerful new way to help companies intuitively measure, analyze and optimize their workforce strategies.  Unlike most reporting solutions, Taleo Reporting and Analytics is built on an advanced business intelligence platform that can scale and grow, dramatically improving reporting performance.  The analytics are delivered on demand, so organizations don’t need to build their own data warehouse, ultimately saving time, effort and expense to a company’s IT department.

Taleo Reporting and Analytics provides a single source of workforce data to enable complete reporting and analysis – from standard monthly recruiting reports to sophisticated workforce planning and trend analysis.  Taleo Reporting and Analytics works across all solutions in Taleo Enterprise Edition and is capable of incorporating other data sources.

Analytic Dashboards provide an out of the box graphical front end that becomes a powerful decision support tool.  These Analytic Dashboards focus on business performance and allow drill down analysis of 12 month rolling trends including Time to Fill, Filled Requisitions, Offer Acceptance Rate, Declined Offer Analysis, Active Requisitions and Sourcing Metrics.  The Taleo Contingent dashboard highlights spend, active job orders, time to fill, and filled job orders; providing one view of the entire workforce across all types of hires.

“As a leader in the professional services industry with 240,000 employees in 19 countries, we are always looking for ways to refine and adjust our talent management strategies to adapt to changing demographics,” said Amanda Hahn McFeeley, Manager, Staffing Technology, ARAMARK. “With Taleo Reporting and Analytics, we will be able to access important metrics and analysis, such as Recruiter Performance, for immediate insight into our workforce, allowing us to make fast and insightful decisions about our talent management strategies.  We are excited about Taleo’s continued innovation and execution in talent management and look forward to utilizing this new solution to further drive business performance.”

Taleo Onboarding™
Studies show that the more engaged new employees are with an organization, the longer they will stay.  Taleo Onboarding improves the new hire experience and speeds up time to contribution for new employees and contractors by streamlining and automating the onboarding process. Taleo offers the most powerful set of onboarding tools available in the marketplace, including the ability to tie the onboarding process to specific jobs, locations and divisions, providing flexibility across business units, yet consistency in branding and user experience.

All Corporate divisions that are part of the onboarding process including IT, payroll, administration and others, are seamlessly connected into the Taleo solution, providing easy access and flexibility when conducting and tracking onboarding activities.  The recruiter and hiring manager can easily see any bottlenecks by department and owner, helping to ensure a seamless and smooth onboarding process and experience.

On Demand Infrastructure
In addition to the new functionality, Taleo has also made significant investments in expanding its on demand infrastructure to deliver industrial strength, security, reliability and scalability to Taleo’s customer base.

Servicing 6.8 million employees across the world’s largest and most demanding organizations including 27% of the Fortune 100, Taleo’s On Demand Infrastructure is built to the highest standards. According to publicly available data, Taleo is the largest pure-play provider of on demand talent management solutions by revenue and number of users, supporting more than 500,000 registered users and processing over 300 million HTTP transactions per month.  Taleo’s scalable and secure On Demand Infrastructure supports all of its customers in two world-class data centers in New York and San Jose.

Taleo 7 is designed using a single code base to be shared by all customers in a multi-tenant environment.  Taleo’s strategic Talent Management Platform provides customers with extensible and adaptable talent management solutions that provide the most security, reliability, and scalability with the lowest total cost of ownership.   Because of its single code base, Taleo customers can easily and quickly take advantage of new products like Taleo 7 and other product innovations and realize immediate benefits.  Taleo delivers its solutions to its entire customer base upon release of the new version, which means that one hundred percent of Taleo customers are quickly upgraded to the most current release of software.

Taleo Executive Vice President of Products and Technology Brad Benson stated, “Along with the release of Taleo 7, we are also doubling the capacity in both of our data centers to ensure the high level of performance our customers have come to expect while we are experiencing our rapid growth. Our single code base and on demand model gives us the ability to focus on delivering innovative solutions to our customers that are secure, reliable and scalable.  This is one of the driving factors behind our 97% customer satisfaction rate.”

Enhanced Integration
Taleo also announced two new integration offerings – Taleo Connect and Taleo Passport – that leverage service oriented architectures and Web Services technologies to simplify and speed integrations with legacy systems and third party complimentary services.  Taleo Connect provides flexible, fast integrations to ERP/HRMS or other backend systems.  Services oriented components and self-service tools make it easy for customers to configure their own integration processes, build data imports and exports and monitor the performance of their integrations, resulting in easier upgrades and lower IT costs.

“The new Taleo Connect self-service tools are a quantum leap forward in integrating talent management systems.  We see unlimited potential to streamline our integrations, reduce our costs and provide innovative new services to our internal and external customers,” said Sandy Brinkerhoff, HRIS Production Lead, Intermountain Healthcare.

Taleo Passport is a revolutionary integration solution that supports embedded, pre-integrated access to services from Taleo’s certified solution partners for background checking, assessment testing, interview guides, and tax credit screening. Taleo Passport helps companies extend talent management processes to external partners, eliminate manual steps, and avoid costly process delays and errors, while minimizing the headaches of typical custom integration projects.
