Executive Biographies
Michael Gregoire
President and Chief Executive Officer
Michael Gregoire is the President and CEO of Taleo, the largest on demand software company in the world focused on talent management solutions. Leading organizations worldwide use Taleo to assess, acquire, develop, and align their workforce for improved business performance.
Prior to Taleo, Mr. Gregoire served as an officer and Executive Vice President of enterprise software company PeopleSoft, responsible for its global Services business. The PeopleSoft Services business consisted of PeopleSoft Consulting, PeopleSoft Education, and PeopleSoft Hosting. Gregoire led a workforce of more than 4,000 professionals and $2.3B in revenue.
Immediately prior to his position at PeopleSoft, Inc. Mr. Gregoire was the Executive Director of the EDS New York Information Solutions Organization based in New York City. The Information Solutions Organization business was a $500M+ in annual revenue unit focused on aligning technology and operations with business strategy. Mr. Gregoire’s more than 12 years at EDS spanned multiple executive positions including Managing Director of the Global Financial Markets Consulting Division and Chief Technology Officer of a division of EDS Canada.
Gregoire has a master’s degree from California Coast University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Wilfred Laurier University in Ontario, Canada. He has been named one of Consulting Magazine's "Top 25 Most Influential Consultants."
Jeff Carr
Executive Vice President, Global Alliances & Americas Sales
As Executive Vice President, Global Alliances & Americas Sales, Mr. Carr oversees Taleo's sales in the Americas and partner relationships while serving as a driving force behind the company's strategy and corporate direction. As one of the top senior executives in the enterprise software arena with extensive human capital management industry experience, Mr. Carr brings more than 20 years of sales, marketing, general management and global operations experience to Taleo from a number of leading public and private enterprise software organizations. Mr. Carr most recently served as chairman and CEO of Motiva, Inc., that was acquired by Siebel Systems in 2003. At Motiva, Mr. Carr helped transform the company into a thought leader in the Enterprise Incentive Management (EIM) software industry. He helped launch the company's J2EE global product suite, re-branded the company, and dramatically increased year-over-year revenues during his tenure.
Prior to Motiva, Mr. Carr served as president of RightWorks Corporation, a leading provider of B2B e-business applications. Mr. Carr joined RightWorks in early 2000 and helped the company increase revenues exponentially from $5 million to more than $40 million, while expanding North American operations and opening subsidiaries in EMEA and Asia Pacific. RightWorks was acquired by i2 Technologies in 2001.
Prior to RightWorks, Mr. Carr spent more than nine years with PeopleSoft, Inc., and was one of the first 50 employees to join the company prior to its 1992 IPO. After a successful sales career with PeopleSoft, Mr. Carr served as general manager of the federal government and manufacturing business units, and later became president of the products division, with full operations and P&L responsibility for more than $300 million revenue and 1,000 employees. His last role at PeopleSoft was EVP, worldwide marketing, strategy and emerging markets, reporting directly to Chairman and CEO Dave Duffield, and later to Craig Conway. Mr. Carr also spent more than six years with leading human resource management software vendor Integral Systems in the 1980s.
Guy Gauvin
Executive Vice President, Global Services
As Taleo's Executive Vice President of Global Services, Mr. Gauvin is responsible for overseeing the company's global services organization, by providing ongoing support to Taleo's global customer base through professional services, education and training, implementation, integration, and other key service areas. In this role, Mr. Gauvin successfully built and managed the industry's leading professional services teams as Taleo deployed its solutions globally to customers around the world.
Before joining Taleo in August 1999, Mr. Gauvin was vice president of global services at Baan Supply Chain Solutions. At Baan, he headed the consulting, education, and technical support teams worldwide. He was responsible for managing operations in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific, servicing accounts such as Ford, Kodak, New Holland, and Alcan.
During his tenure at Baan Supply Chain Solutions, Mr. Gauvin also headed the development of methodologies for the deployment of large-scale business applications and business process re-engineering projects.
Mr. Gauvin earned his Bachelor's degree from Laval University. He is a member of the APICS and OIQ Associations.
Katy Murray
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Murray serves as Taleo's chief financial officer, reporting directly to Taleo President and CEO Michael Gregoire. As CFO, Ms. Murray is responsible for Taleo's worldwide financial operations.
Ms. Murray brings nearly 15 years of combined accounting/financial and executive management experience to Taleo. Most recently, Ms. Murray served as CFO of EXL Services, Inc., a leading provider of value-added offshore business process outsourcing solutions. In this role, she was responsible for leading the company's global finance operations including accounting, financial planning and analysis, strategic planning, treasury, investor relations and compliance.
Prior to EXL, Ms. Murray served as executive vice president and CFO at i2 Technologies, a multinational supply chain management software company. Ms. Murray spent nearly eight years at i2 Technologies where she held various leadership positions within the finance and accounting organization.
As CFO of i2, she was responsible for worldwide accounting, financial planning and analysis, financial and reporting systems, treasury, and SEC reporting, among a variety of other responsibilities. Prior to i2 Technologies, Ms. Murray worked for more than four years at Paymentech, the largest US based processor of internet transactions as a Director of Accounting.
Neil Hudspith
Senior Vice President, International Operations
As senior vice president for international operations, Mr. Hudspith is responsible for sales and operations throughout Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), reporting to Taleo President and CEO Michael Gregoire. Mr. Hudspith brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in the IT industry, working in both European and Asian markets.
Mr. Hudspith spent the majority of his career with IBM, starting out as a pivotal member of the Lotus leadership team running EMEA, during which the UK served as the largest subsidiary outside of North America. Mr. Hudspith also held a variety of management positions at IBM throughout the company’s operations in the Middle East, serving as a regional manager for the company’s business development efforts throughout the Middle East, India, Greece, Turkey and Israel.
Mr. Hudspith went on to run IBM/Lotus development for the Asia Pacific region managing more than 1,300 employees and a revenue stream in excess of $320 million USD. Mr. Hudspith has also held executive management positions at Vitria and Commerce One.
Michael Boese
Group Vice President, Corporate Business Development
As a group vice president for corporate business development, Mr. Boese is responsible for identifying and building new market opportunities to help Taleo capitalize on industry trends that will continue to advance corporate growth. With 15 years of strategic corporate development experience, Mr. Boese has worked with some of the industry’s largest and most recognized technology companies. Most recently, Mr. Boese served as vice president, corporate strategy at SAP, where he was responsible for driving the company’s corporate strategy, operational, and organizational initiatives within the office of the CEO.
Before joining SAP, Mr. Boese served as vice president of corporate business development at PeopleSoft. In this capacity, he directed all merger and acquisition activity and was responsible for negotiating and executing PeopleSoft’s software partnership and reseller agreements.
Prior to PeopleSoft, Mr. Boese held multiple positions leading corporate and business development initiatives. At Quantum Corporation, he led corporate development. At Oracle, he held a variety of management positions responsible for developing new business opportunities and partnerships. Mr. Boese has also been a management consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton. He holds an MBA from Duke University and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington.Al Campa
Group Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer
Mr. Campa serves as Chief Marketing Officer, responsible for the global direction of Taleo marketing strategy, brand management, corporate communications, demand generation, and product marketing efforts.
Mr. Campa has been a technology executive and entrepreneur for more than 20 years with extensive experience in establishing market leadership in the business analytics, open source, and enterprise software markets. Prior to joining Taleo, he was the founder and CEO at JasperSoft which led the creation of the open source business intelligence market and part of the founding team at Bravanta, an on demand provider of enterprise incentive and recognition applications that was acquired by WorkStream.
Mr. Campa has also served as Vice President of Marketing at Actuate, where he helped drive the company from a startup to a public company by establishing leadership in the new product category of enterprise reporting. He was also a integral part of the management teams at Sybase as it rapidly grew from $50M to $1B in five years and at Sun Microsystems as it grew from $500M to $2B in three years.
Mr. Campa started his career at IBM after receiving his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
Paul Pronsati
Group Vice President, Operations
Paul Pronsati serves as Taleo's Group Vice President, Operations. In this role, he is responsible for ensuring operation excellence through the management of the company's global internal systems, processes, and operations. Mr. Pronsati also oversees Taleo's global IT organization.
Prior to Taleo, Mr. Pronsati served as Group Vice President, Global Operations at PeopleSoft, where he was responsible for running all systems and processes for the company's Sales and Services organization. While at PeopleSoft, he also served as Vice President of Global Operations where he was responsible for all operational systems and processes for the Global Professional Services business including PeopleSoft Consulting, Education, and Hosting. In this role he created initiatives to drive excellence and a consistent, global approach across such areas as business development, solutions delivery, resource management, education delivery, and compensation.
Prior to PeopleSoft, Mr. Pronsati served in various capacities at J.D. Edwards, a leading enterprise software company, from May 1992 until August 2003, most recently as Vice President, Sales & Consulting Operations. Previously, Mr. Pronsati held various positions in audit, finance, and information technology at Main Hurdman, Rorer Pharmaceuticals, and Johnson Matthey.
Mr. Pronsati is a graduate from Drexel University where he received his B.S. in Mathematics.
Debbie Shotwell
Group Vice President, Human Resources and Talent
Ms. Shotwell serves as Taleo's group vice president, human resources and talent. In this role, Ms. Shotwell is responsible for overall operations and initiatives throughout Taleo’s global human resources (HR) and talent management functions. Ms. Shotwell reports directly to Taleo President and CEO Michael Gregoire.
Prior to joining Taleo, Ms. Shotwell served in a variety of HR management positions at PeopleSoft, most recently serving as vice president, global human resources services. During her four years at PeopleSoft, Ms. Shotwell led the organization through several acquisitions and growth periods, including the transition of talent from JD Edwards to PeopleSoft and Oracle’s acquisition of PeopleSoft. Ms. Shotwell also led the development and delivery of company training programs, leadership development, and talent retention and growth strategies. Through her value-added, consultative approach, Ms. Shotwell was a key catalyst in PeopleSoft’s global talent management initiatives that helped to further the organization’s performance.
Before joining PeopleSoft, Ms. Shotwell served as vice president, human resources, at American Protective Services. Here she was responsible for all areas of HR for the company’s 18,000 domestic employees. Throughout her career, Ms. Shotwell also held HR management positions at leading organizations including PacifiCare Health Systems, Sutter Health and Intel.
